Maintenance Supervisor (PLC & manufacturing exp. req.) Description

Our client is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to add to their team in Union, MO. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and supervision for their plant and equipment which includes mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and PLCs. You will be mentored by their Maintenance Manager who has been with them for over 20 years. He has a wealth of knowledge and is looking to invest in his successor as he plans to retire in the next few years. Important Note: This position requires you to be on-call for maintenance issues on weekends and evenings which may require onsite availability at times after hours. 

Maintenance Supervisor (PLC & manufacturing exp. req.) Responsibilities

•    Evaluate industrial equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC systems
•    Provide technical support to maintain and upgrade systems 
•    Identify and troubleshoot technical problems 
•    Schedule maintenance work and ensure its completion 
•    Help establish procedures and corrective actions that limit downtime
•    Ensure EHS compliance and complete documentation 
•    Manage resources to achieve safety and cost objectives
•    Participate in the development of Maintenance Management System
•    Identify and propose continuous improvement opportunities 
•    Travel onsite after hours as needed to solve technical issues 

Maintenance Supervisor (PLC & manufacturing exp. req.) Qualifications

•    5+ years of maintenance within heavy industrial manufacturing required
•    Hands-on experience with electrical controls including PLCS required
•    Background troubleshooting mechanical systems required
•    Ability to answer after-hours service calls required
