Architect II (Licensed Architect req.) Description

Our client is looking for an Architect II to add to their team in Chico, CA. You will be responsible for the design, technical development, coordination and communication on assigned projects. You will be joining a firm that’s passionate about both their clients and their community. Architect II (Licensed Architect req.) Responsibilities

  • Prepare design drawings, specifications, estimates and other construction documents
  • Interpret contracts, plans, maps, and other documents
  • Determine project scope and design parameters; project the flow the design through all phases
  • Attend and conduct meetings with clients, contractors, agencies, and internal teams
  • Train and mentor design team members
  • Obtain project approvals; oversee construction administration
  • Provide advanced knowledge of architectural practice
  • Maintain ongoing coordination and communication with design consulting team members
  • Discuss, brainstorm, and collaborate with colleagues at each phase
  • Help determine staffing requirements for design projects
  • Assign projects to design team members; oversee daily design and technical development
  • Prioritize tasks and make changes based on deadlines and other factors
  • Manage and oversee coordination between consultants and architectural drawings
  • Redline consultant drawings for content
  • Establish quality assurance and control processes and metrics
  • Ensure high quality design results
  • Supervise project production
  • Maintain appropriate records of each job


Architect II (Licensed Architect req.) Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture required
  • 6+ years of experience in an architectural firm required
  • 3+ years project management experience required
  • Licensed Architect required
  • NCARB certification strongly preferred
  • Multi-family housing, commercial, K-12, hospital, and/or medical office building project experience required
  • Revit experience required
  • AutoCAD experience required
  • Building Code knowledge required
  • Title 24 compliance knowledge required
  • ADA regulation knowledge required
  • Driver’s License required
