Accounting Manager (Mergers & Acquisitions) Description

Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager focused on Mergers & Acquisitions to add to their team in Woodbridge Township, NJ. Working directly with CFOs and Controllers, you will help drive post-close process for acquisitions including the onboarding process ensuring a smooth and seamless transition. It’s almost like you’re helping complete a miniature audit of each acquired company. Accounting Manager (Mergers & Acquisitions) Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate the post-close process of the M&A process
• Drive process improvement projects
• Help reduce the amount of time it takes to finalize accounting details
• Help integrate the acquired company in a timely fashion
• Coordinate with the overall M&A team
• Ensure acquired companies are in line with existing accounting policies and practices
• Draft purchase agreements
• Review reports and other available documentation
• Identify and solve integration issues
• Educate new employees about financial processes and requirements
• Coordinate inventories, fixed asset verifications, and lease accounting and administration
• Prepare purchase accounting model
• Prepare summaries of transactions
• Map financials/general ledger to chart of accounts
• Prepare accounting technical memos

Accounting Manager (Mergers & Acquisitions) Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 4+ years accounting experience required
• M&A experience required
• Leadership experience required
• Public accounting experience a plus
• CPA a plus
