Aerospace Program Manager Description

Our client in the aerospace and manufacturing industry is looking for an Aerospace Program Manager to add to their team in San Diego, CA. As a key contributor in the company’s growth, you will serve as the central point of communication with customers, suppliers, and internal company support providers, and oversee the execution of assigned contracts from acceptance through completion, including own company and supply base integration and management. Our client is looking for someone with at least three years of experience in program/project management and previous experience with risk and opportunity management. Ideal candidates will have experience with Federal government contracts in engineering or within the aerospace industry. To be successful in the role, you must be exceptionally proficient in Microsoft Project, highly organized with strong attention to detail and motivated to complete tasks with little supervision. Aerospace Program Manager Responsibilities

• Review quotes and contracts for induction to ensure accuracy
• Communicate with suppliers, customers, own company employees and others to ensure contract requirements are achieved
• Supervise assigned employees (either as direct reports or as a functional program team), to ensure accomplishment of all duties and compliance with all internal/external procedures
• Assist with investigations of non-conformances to ensure containment actions, root cause and preventative actions are taken in order to prevent reoccurrence
• Assist quality assurance department in the processing of quality issues with in-house and subcontracted production personnel to ensure final product/service meets specifications
• Maintain detailed schedules, financial records, software data, etc. to control all aspects of program
• Audit all aspects of schedules and financial records on a regular basis to ensure customer records and portals match company data

Aerospace Program Manager Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3+ years’ experience in program/project management required
• Experience with Federal Government contracts preferred
• Experience with risk and opportunity management required
• Engineering and/or aerospace industry experience preferred
• Security clearance eligibility required
• Proficient in MS Project or Deltek Open Plan required
