Account Manager Description

Our client is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded Account Manager to join their team in DuPage County, IL to nurture their exploding Chicago market. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and closing new business as well as providing support to an existing client base. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years of sales experience with a background in supporting projects with a longer sales cycle. To be successful in this role, you must be a self-starter who adds value to their projects thus creating long-lasting customer relationships and profit. Account Manager Responsibilities

• Identify and close new business opportunities
• Schedule meetings and travel to client sites
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business
• Interface with internal and external customers
• Utilize effective presentation skills to present new and existing products
• Help customers reduce costs by discussing their needs at length
• Utilize CRM tools to develop opportunities and time management
• Document all sales activities and intelligence in CRM
• Respond to client inquiries and needs in a timely fashion
• Submit and track bids
• Collaborate with additional sales team and leadership
• Meet revenue targets and measurable non-revenue KPIs

Account Manager Qualifications

• 2+ years of B2B sales experience required
• Experienced cold-calling and developing new business required
• Background selling to government entities a huge plus
• Valid Driver’s License and insurance required
• Willingness/ability to travel locally up to 50%
