Associate Attorney Description

Our client is looking for an Associate Attorney to join their growing firm in Garland, TX. You will be responsible for supporting cases from beginning to end, preparing motions, understanding depositions, and working closely with the team on legal projects while managing clients. Ideal candidates will have five to eight years of defense litigation experience with concentration in insurance defense. To thrive in this role, you must have a strong work ethic with a desire to learn and the ability to take direction from senior counsel to move cases forward. Associate Attorney Responsibilities

• Draft motions and prepare reports
• Manage designated litigation caseload
• Reviewing client documents and claim files in preparation for deadlines
• Participate in court appearances and depositions
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports
• Maintain client relationships
• Prepare pleadings and coordinate discovery with clients
• Conduct legal research and trial preparation
• Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on legal projects

Associate Attorney Qualifications

• J.D. Degree required
• TX State Bar standing required
• 5+ years of defense litigation experience required
• Background in insurance defense required
• Well-versed in drafting motions, pleadings, memoranda and briefs, and discovery required
• Exceptional communication, writing, and research skills required
• Experienced using Bottomline or other electronic auditing systems preferred
